Homes to rent and buy
Lantern Homes manages market rental properties,
key worker properties and new shared ownership on behalf of Somer
Community Housing Trust. All the properties remain in the ownership
of the Trust.
These are properties where the purchaser buys a percentage of
the building and rents the remaining portion from Somer Community
Housing Trust. Currently there are 47 properties in a number of
schemes.
Somer has a number of Georgian flats in Bath which are not
rented out in the usual way. These properties properties are
available for rent on short-term lets.
Lantern Homes currently manages some homes for keyworkers. The
rents charged are called intermediate rents because they are more
than a social rent, but less than a market rent.
