Redland was the first association to build an 'excellent' Eco Home in the South West.

Inspiring People,
Inspirational Homes

Redland Housing Association is based in Bristol and manages 1,400 homes in Bristol, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, and Devon. We have a long tradition of developing good-quality, family housing through a number of local authority partnerships.

Having completed a review of our entire housing service, our vision is to achieve an 'excellent' service within five years. At the moment, the overall service (as measured against the Audit Commission's Key Lines of Enquiry) was assessed as 'fair', although not far from 'good', and with some areas that are 'excellent'.

Housing profile

Redland’s stock is very diverse in both location and type. We own about 1,200 rented properties, half of which are in Bristol and the remainder spread across the South West. Most of our homes are less than 30 years old with 15 per cent built since 2000.

Traditionally, Redland’s focus has been on housing for families and the elderly. We have a high proportion of houses, particularly outside Bristol, and 134 sheltered housing flats for the elderly. We also manage 88 leasehold properties, plus 210 properties sold under the ‘right to buy’, where Redland still has management obligations.

Redland Housing Association is a member of Somer Housing Group.
