Public transport

Train

The main station is Bristol Temple Meads on the mainline to London (one and three quarter hours) and Bath (15 minutes), with good connections to Wales, the West Country and the south coast.

There are also local services to Shirehampton.

Bus

Buses 57, 40 and 40A leave the city centre every 20 minutes from St Augustine's Parade / Colston Avenue. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Ask for Chapel Lane, Long Cross, Lawrence Weston (opposite The Long Cross pub). The offices are behind the pub.

Bus number 1 runs from Bristol Temple Meads train station. It connects with 40/40a at Henbury (allow an hour). The service also runs to the city centre (approx. 10 minutes).

Buses 57, 40 and 40A also stop at Shirehampton High Street, which is a 10 minute walk from Shirehampton train station.

Most buses are accessible to wheelchair users.
