Redland Housing Association supports charities at
Christmas
14th December 2009
Redland staff have joined other members of Somer
Housing Group to support a number of local and national charities
this Christmas.
Staff at the group of housing associations – which also includes
Somer Community Housing Trust and Shape Housing Association in Bath
– donated money to charity, instead of sending Christmas cards to
each other. They also selected the charities to benefit: the
Salvation Army Local Toy Fund, Help for Heroes and the British
Heart Foundation.
This comes on top of an impressive £439.30 raised by the Group
for November’s Children in Need. There was a dress-down day, a
raffle, and ‘Pudsey’s Café’ opened for business, serving cakes and
biscuits donated or baked by staff.
David Clarke, Head of Customer Services, said:
‘Everyone here has been very generous over
the year and always look to support local charities that can make a
difference in our area, alongside the established, national
charities that are close to them.
‘We would like to wish all of our residents
and everyone who works with us a merry Christmas and happy New
Year.’
