Redland scoops Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year at the ‘Connecting People’ awards

Redland’s Tenant Liaison Officer, Philippa Barton, has won an award for her hard work involving residents with the work of the housing association. She took the title of ‘Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year’ at the South West region’s ‘Connecting People’ awards, organised by the Tenant Participation Advisory Service.

The ceremony was held at The Hotel Russell in London on Thursday, 13th March and Philippa will now go through to the national final in August.

Philippa was nominated for the award by tenants, Board members and staff at Redland for her approachability and enthusiasm engaging with staff and residents alike. This has led to the development of resident involvement structures and opportunities, which really work for Redland’s small and diverse local communities.

Resident involvement is central to Redland’s work and is key to its aim of delivering excellent services to all its customers. The association is committed to involving tenants and residents in decisions that affect their homes and the services they receive. This award recognises that commitment and Philippa’s efforts in enabling residents to be involved effectively.

Philippa said:

‘I was delighted to win this award. In my job I get to work with a great team of colleagues and meet some lovely residents, I couldn’t ask for more. I would like to thank everyone who nominated me.’
