Fun at the zoo!

18th September 2010

Redland residents, staff and board members had a great time at Bristol zoo on Saturday 18th September, for this year’s conference ‘Power to the People’.

Question Time (as seen on TV) saw residents getting answers to their burning questions to Redland’s Managing Director, Louise Swain, and Chair of the Board, Tom Battersby.

Residents took part in a discussion, giving their views about whether Redland should be agreeing local offers with residents in different areas, or whether what’s on offer should be the same for all Redland residents.

Taster activities run by Redland’s staff members showed residents what all the difference focus groups do, and how they can get involved.

And after all that, we enjoyed a tasty lunch together and residents used their free passes to visit the zoo.

People commented on how useful the day was, not only for finding out more about Redland and what we can offer you, but also for meeting other residents.

One of our residents contacted us after the day to say this

‘Just a note to say a big thank you for the wonderful day out we had at Bristol zoo… You helped with transport and everyone there helped me out and my daughter enjoyed herself too.’
