Firmac creates modern, affordable living in North Street,
Bedminster
19th August 2008
Redland Housing Association is pleased to offer
affordable homes at the striking Tenon Building, North Street,
Bedminster scheme by Firmac Developments, from as little as £70,000
for a 50% share plus £131.25 rent pcm.
Called New Build HomeBuy, the scheme lets you move in to a new
home on a part-buy, part-rent basis. It’s simple – you buy a
percentage of your home (from 50%) and pay rent on the rest. As
your circumstances change, you can buy further shares until you own
your whole home.
Firmac was founded on the belief that contemporary design,
modern building methods and a high-quality finish can create urban
developments that do not compromise quality, but are affordable for
first-time buyers.
Redland has three one-bedroom flats available for sale in Tenon
Building. The building has an innovative design – features include
an internal courtyard which provides secure parking, cycle and bin
storage. Above the courtyard is an open deck that provides shared
amenity space for residents.
The properties are just a few minutes walk from numerous bars
and cafés, and the Tobacco Factory with its unique theatre, bar and
exhibition space. Also nearby are Ashton Court with its open
spaces, numerous festivals and Timberland mountain bike trail; and
cycle paths to Bath and Pill.
Priority will be given to applicants with a local connection to
Bristol and who are registered with the HomeBuy agent New Futures
and with Bristol City Council on their housing waiting list.
The homes are owned and managed by Redland Housing Association,
a member of Somer Housing Group.
Louise Swain, Managing Director of Redland Housing Association,
said:
‘We are pleased to be able to offer people
one of these exciting, new homes. This is a really good opportunity
to get a foot on the housing ladder in an area which has seen a lot
of investment and regeneration.’
