Residents' associations

We will be happy to consult and take account of the views of residents' associations as long as they are fair and properly run. We encourage you to form a residents' association and we will help you by:

  • providing a start-up grant to cover running costs;
  • providing reasonable facilities for your meetings;
  • giving you advice about setting up and running your association; and
  • photocopying and handing out your written material.

Redland recognises and supports residents' associations that:

  • involve and benefit Redland residents;
  • have a democratically elected leadership/ committee;
  • have an annual general meeting; and
  • make sure their accounts are independently audited every year.

We will support residents' associations by providing a start-up grant of £100 to help them get going, and will offer initial administrative support and advice. If you want to help your community by starting a group and don't know where to start, contact Philippa Barton, Resident Involvement Officer, on 0117 316 7219 or email philippa.barton@redlandha.co.uk.

Active residents' associations that Redland recognises include:

Camerton Residents' Association.
Keynsham Residents' Group.
Sunnyside Residents' Association (Peasedown St John).
Dulverton Residents' Association.
