Disability Equality Scheme
The Disability Equality Scheme describes how Somer Housing Group
will be proactive in ensuring that disabled people are treated
fairly.
The Group’s scheme sets out the ways by which we will promote
positive attitudes to disabled people, and the steps we will take
to meet the needs of disabled people, even if this requires more
favourable treatment.

New Build HomeBuy

'We're really, really happy here. It's in Bath
where we wanted to purchase and it's a big apartment; we couldn't
be happier.'
Katie and Nick purchased a 50 per cent share
in a two-bedroom apartment at The Hexagon. They were desperate to
get on the housing ladder, but although they both work full-time,
they couldn't find any properties in Bath that they could afford to
buy.
Katie works as a staff nurse in the city and was therefore eligible
to apply for shared ownership properties at The Hexagon. This was
the solution they needed to own an affordable home in Bath.
