Young people's services
Young people need a home, and support into life,
training and work. Some don't have these. We fill the gap.
Shape Housing Association provides housing, support and training
to some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people aged
16 to 25 with varying support needs, including care leavers.
This support makes a real difference to their lives. We offer
help with emotional problems and practical help, such as:
- benefit advice and completing claim forms;
- housing advice;
- money management;
- anger management;
- basic cooking skills; and
- DIY.
We also work closely with Connexions, The Prince's Trust, City
of Bath College, Millennium Volunteers and other agencies to make
sure young people have the right services for their needs.
The following reports give information about the impact the
service has made (Oct-Dec 2009):
Outcomes from exit interviews with
residents.
Training needs identified.
Quarterly tenancy
review.
Support and training for young people aged 18-25.
Schemes in Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire, providing
accommodation offering a variety of support levels.
