Renting a home

To apply for a property with the Trust you have to register your
details with Bath & North East Somerset Council, which works in
partnership with housing associations such as Somer Community
Housing Trust.
B&NES holds a register of people requiring housing in the
area, known as the 'Homesearch Register'. This is a choice-based
lettings system, where you are able to 'bid' for properties. This
process is known as registering an interest. You may only bid for a
property if your application has been accepted.

West Wiltshire
Somer Community Housing Trust now has properties in the West
Wiltshire area that also run the choice-based lettings system.
Homes 4 West Wilts is a service provided by West Wiltshire
District Council. The service helps you find a housing
association home in the district of West Wiltshire. It aims to
improve access to affordable housing by giving you more choice and
involvement in selecting a home and works in partnership with
housing associations such as the Trust.
