Nuisance and anti-social behaviour
We will work with you when you are experiencing
nuisance or anti-social behaviour (ASB) to resolve the problems as
quickly and as easily as possible.
Our commitment:
When residents report behaviour or actions that cause them
harassment, distress or alarm:
- We will provide convenient reporting methods including a
dedicated ASB telephone line.
- We will treat all complaints in confidence and offer private
and convenient facilities to discuss the complaint.
- We will assign a named officer to the case that will progress
the case through to the end.
- We will listen and tell you what actions can and can’t be
taken.
- In cases identified as ASB, we will agree an Action Plan,
including feedback arrangements with the victim / witnesses.
- We will offer mediation services to resolve neighbour
disputes.
- Where necessary we will use legal remedies to resolve the
problem, including eviction.
- If we need to take legal action we will keep you updated and in
control of what is happening as much as we can.
Specifically:
- If you report a Hate Crime, we will contact you within 1
working day.
- If you report Domestic Violence, we will contact you within 1
working day.
- We will respond to all reports of nuisance and ASB within 5
working days giving priority to the most serious cases.
