Respect - find out what it means to YOU!

The Respect initiative is a cross-Government
strategy to tackle bad behaviour and to nurture good.
It involves central government, local agencies
and communities working together to tackle anti-social behaviour.
There is also an emphasis on enforcement and action; the police,
local authorities and other agencies will be expected to use their
full range of tools and powers to deal with anti-social behaviour.
Communities will also be encouraged to speak out and demand a
co-ordinated response to problems they are facing.
Residents debated the Respect agenda at the annual Residents'
Day in April 2007. There was a lively debate between residents and
the various agencies, and the Trust outlined how we would like to
work with residents to tackle anti-social behaviour and promote
respect within the community. Click the link below to find out some

Sue Strickland, the Assistant Director of
the National Respect Task Force spoke at the annual Residents’ Day
in April 2007. The police and other services were also on hand
to discuss the Respect agenda and the issues it raises for
communities and the Trust.
