Grounds maintenance
Through a partnering contract, we organise grass cutting;
border, shrub and hedge maintenance; the collection of litter; and
leaf clearance.
This includes 115 acres of grass, equivalent to
76 football pitches, which is completed on a 15-day cycle.
Shrubs are maintained monthly. The Trust looks after
25 miles of hedge and these are pruned either once or twice a year,
depending on the type of hedging.
We are developing a tenant’s assisted gardening scheme across
the district for elderly and vulnerable residents.
We are also working with Bath & North East Somerset Council
Adult Learning Centre to develop a gardening scheme in the south
west area of Bath for residents unable to manage their gardens.
