Grounds maintenance
Through a partnering contract, we organise grass cutting;
border, shrub and hedge maintenance; the collection of litter; and
leaf clearance.
This includes 115 acres of grass, equivalent to
76 football pitches, which is completed on a 15-day cycle.
Shrubs are maintained monthly. The Trust looks after
25 miles of hedge and these are pruned either once or twice a year,
depending on the type of hedging.
We have an Assisted Gardening Scheme across the district for
elderly and vulnerable residents. The scheme is limited to 200
residents and currently there is a waiting list. Residents may
still apply to join the scheme, but please be aware of the
delay.
