Moving out
Clean & Clear bonus scheme
If you’re moving out of your Trust home, we’ll
give you a £100 bonus if you leave it clean and clear of your
personal belongings.
Leaving your property in a good
condition means we can let it again sooner and help more people in
housing need. So, as a ‘thank you’ for helping us, we’ll give you
£100 of Love2shop vouchers, which you can spend in loads of
high-street shops.
What do I have to do?
- Give us four weeks’ written notice to leave (except if
transferring). Please note this scheme does not apply to mutual
exchanges.
- Provide access for a property inspection and for an accompanied
viewing with prospective new tenants.
- Leave your property clean and in good decorative
order.
- Remove all of your personal belongings, furniture and rubbish
from your property (includes loft space, storage areas, sheds,
balcony and garden).
- Remove your carpets / floor coverings, unless we agree you may
leave them.
- Leave behind the electric key, gas card etc. if you have
a pre-payment meter.
- Leave the gas/electric pre-payment meter in a small amount of
credit or agree that we may pass on your contact details to energy
providers.
- Pay your rent account in full, including garages, parking
spaces and any former tenancy arrears.
- Return all keys by 12 noon on the Monday on which your notice
expires.
- Complete an exit questionnaire and provide a forwarding
address.
When will I receive the vouchers?
We will inspect your property after you have moved out for a
final check. If everything is satisfactory, we will send the
vouchers to your new address within 28 days.
