New team to lead Somer Housing Group
In January Somer Housing Group’s new Executive
team was completed with the arrival of Donna Baddeley and Dominic
Lynch who have joined Louise Swain, the first Executive Director to
be appointed to the new team last autumn.
The team, who bring over 40 years’ experience
in social housing, take on new, outward-looking and strategic roles
at Somer – one of the South-West’s largest housing providers.
Working with the Chief Executive, Victor da Cunha, the new team
will lead the delivery of an ambitious five-year strategy which is
being created with residents, colleagues and other customers.
The three new posts comprise a more compact
Executive team formed as part of a major change programme that is
bringing together the three separate
organisations across the Group: Redland Housing, Shape Housing
and Somer Community Housing Trust. The changes will create a more
efficient business and ensure that Somer can provide more homes and
better services for its residents.
Donna Baddeley is Executive Director of
Transformation and Business Improvement, responsible for Somer’s
people, performance management and corporate strategies. Donna has
most recently held a non-executive directorship at Selwood Housing
in Trowbridge. Donna said: “I am excited to bring my experiences of
leading complex change in social housing and care to the Somer
Group, and look forward to working with residents and colleagues to
develop an organisation that we are all really proud of.”
Dominic Lynch is Executive Director of
Finance and Resources. Dominic joins Somer from A2Dominion Housing
Group where he was Group Director for Finance and Strategy. Dominic
said: “After 12 years’ experience of business growth and
transformation in social housing I am delighted to have the
opportunity to contribute to improving and growing Somer Housing
Group for the benefit of all residents – both current and
future.”
Louise Swain is the Executive Director of
Customer Services, accountable for all front-line services across
the Group. Louise said: “I am passionate about delivering great
places to live and a great service. I am looking forward to the
opportunity to be part of the major change taking place within
Somer to create a new organisation renowned for its great
service.”
