Somer staff run the mile for Sport Relief

18th March 2008

Somer Housing Group staff have done their bit to support this year’s Sport Relief day. More than 40 members of staff turned out at Bath City Football Club’s ground at Twerton Park to run or walk a mile for the charity.

The event marked the end of a day of fundraising efforts, with staff dressing down for the day, a sports quiz, a raffle with sporting prizes and lunchtime competitions, games and food.

Howard Cunningham-Smith, Fundraising Manager at Somer Housing Group, said:

‘We are really pleased that so many staff have got behind Sport Relief. We are also extremely grateful to Paul Williams, the Managing Director of Bath City Football Club, for generously allowing us to use their ground.’
